gemhype becomes HC Arnoldi: A shared path into the future

We founded gemhype in 2019, and in 2020 our B2B online shop for gemstones went live. After more than five years, we are merging gemhype and HC Arnoldi. Find out why we are taking this step, what will change starting November 10, 2026, and the advantages our new shared platform offers.

Aus gemhype wird HC Arnoldi: Ein gemeinsamer Weg in die Zukunft

2019 marked a new chapter in our company's history with the launch of gemhype.com. More than five years after starting our online shop, we are now taking the next step and merging gemhype and HC Arnoldi under a single name. Find out here what is behind this decision, how gemhype has evolved, and what changes for our customers.

2019: The idea behind gemhype

The story of gemhype began in 2019 with a clear idea: to combine the traditional gemstone trade with the possibilities of digital shopping.

As a family business, HC Arnoldi looks back on over 100 years of history in the gemstone industry. With our own gemstone cutting workshop in Kirschweiler, our international customer base, and our many years of experience in purchasing and processing high-quality colored gemstones, we already had a strong foundation.

At the same time, we recognized that the requirements of our customers were also changing. We wanted to offer jewelers, goldsmiths, jewelry designers, and companies in the jewelry industry the opportunity to view our gemstone assortment and shop online, regardless of opening hours, trade fair dates, or personal visits.

With this in mind, we, Isaline and Carl-Philip Arnoldi, founded gemhype.com GmbH in 2019.

2020: Our online shop launches

In April 2020, the time had come: after intensive preparation, gemhype.com went online.

With gemhype, we created a digital platform specifically tailored to the needs of the jewelry industry. Our goal was to make professional gemstone purchasing easier, more transparent, and more flexible without sacrificing the personal advice and quality standards of our family business.

From the beginning, gemhype was closely linked to HC Arnoldi. A large part of the offered gemstones comes from our own cutting workshop. The expertise, quality standards, and experience of our family business thus formed the foundation of our online shop.

More than five years of gemhype: Experiences, development, and new opportunities

Over the past few years, gemhype has continued to evolve. We have expanded our digital assortment, optimized processes, and gained valuable experience in online retail.

One thing has been confirmed above all: digital gemstone purchasing and traditional personal trading complement each other perfectly.

Many of our customers now use both options. They discover gemstones online, receive personal advice, visit us at international trade fairs, or commission individual cutting orders.

Over time, it became increasingly clear that although gemhype and HC Arnoldi were managed as two independent companies organizationally, they had long been closely linked in their daily work.

Two companies also meant double the administrative processes, separate systems, and additional organizational effort—resources we want to use more purposefully in the future for our customers, our assortment, and the further development of our company.

2026: Two companies become one unified presence

After more than five successful years with gemhype, we have therefore decided to merge both companies under the name HC Arnoldi.

As of November 10, 2026, our current online shop, gemhype.com, will be fully integrated into the new website, hc-arnoldi.com.

In doing so, we are combining our traditional gemstone cutting workshop, our international colored stone trade, and our digital online shop on a single platform.

For us, this step is not a departure from gemhype, but the logical further development of an idea that began in 2019.

We want to simplify our internal processes, bundle our competencies, and offer our customers unified access to our company.

At the same time, the new website creates more room to give you a closer look at our work. In addition to our gemstone assortment, you will in the future also gain insights into our cutting workshop, our company history, our team, and our special designs.

What changes for our customers?

Even though our brand appearance is changing, the essentials remain the same: our commitment to quality, our gemstone assortment, and the personal cooperation with our customers.

The most important changes at a glance:

  • New website: From November 10, 2026, you will find our online shop at www.hc-arnoldi.com. The previous domain, gemhype.com, will be automatically redirected.

  • Existing customer accounts: Your existing customer accounts will be transferred. You can continue to log in with your usual access credentials. Re-registration is not required.

  • Familiar assortment: Our range of high-quality colored gemstones remains the same. You will continue to find individual pieces, calibrated gemstones, and special designs.

  • Invoicing: In the future, invoicing and related business documents will be issued via HC Arnoldi e.K.

  • Personal contacts: Your familiar contacts will continue to be available to you. Isaline and Carl-Philip Arnoldi remain responsible for the online shop. Lisa Tesli continues to be your contact person in customer service.

A new look, the same values

With this merger, we want to achieve one thing above all: our company should appear as united externally as it already is in our daily work.

Since 1919, HC Arnoldi has stood for experience in the gemstone trade, craftsmanship, and personal customer relationships. With gemhype, we have successfully transferred these values into the digital world. Now, we are bringing both together on one platform.

We look forward to presenting our new website with an integrated online shop to you on November 10, 2026, and continuing the development of our family business together with you.

Many thanks to all customers and partners who have accompanied gemhype since its founding. We look forward to welcoming you under the HC Arnoldi name in the future.
